Frigidaire Dishwasher Error DP

DIY Fix Allow or clear diagnostic drain phase

1. If DP appears during a diagnostic or self-test cycle, allow the drain sequence to complete.
2. If the dishwasher entered this mode unintentionally, press and hold the Cancel/Start‑Cancel button for 3–5 seconds to exit the diagnostic mode.
3. After exiting, select a normal wash cycle and press Start to confirm normal operation.

DIY Fix Reset the dishwasher control

1. Turn off power to the dishwasher at the circuit breaker or unplug the unit.
2. Wait at least 1–5 minutes to allow the control to reset.
3. Restore power and attempt to run a normal cycle to see if DP reappears.

Technician Only Inspect drain pump and control logic if DP persists

1. Verify correct operation of the drain pump and check for obstructions in the drain path.
2. Use model‑specific service manual to confirm if DP appears outside diagnostic mode and interpret service codes further.
3. Check control board logic and connections related to the drain pump circuit.
