DIY Fix Check and clear drain pump filter

1. Unplug the washing machine from power.
2. Locate and open access to the drain pump filter (usually bottom front of unit).
3. Remove filter cover and pull out any lint, debris, or foreign objects.
4. Rinse the filter under running water until clean.
5. Reinstall filter securely and close access panel.
6. Run a short drain/spin cycle to test.

DIY Fix Inspect and straighten drain hose

1. Turn off and unplug the washer.
2. Locate the drain hose at the back of the machine.
3. Check for kinks, twists, or visible blockages.
4. Disconnect hose from washer and standpipe (if comfortable doing so).
5. Flush hose with water to clear clogs if present.
6. Reconnect hose ensuring a smooth, unobstructed path and proper height per manual.
7. Power on and test machine for normal drainage.

Technician Only Deep drain and pump evaluation

1. Disconnect machine from power and water.
2. Remove front access panel.
3. Inspect and disassemble drain pump if required.
4. Test pump for mechanical or electrical failure.
5. Replace pump if defective.
6. Check wiring connections to drain pump.
7. Reassemble and test machine.
