DIY Fix Check Drainage and Filters

1. Turn off and unplug the washing machine.
2. Locate and inspect the drain pump filter (if accessible) and clean out any debris (lint, coins, etc.).
3. Check the drain hose for kinks, blockages, or clogs and straighten or clear as necessary.
4. Ensure the drain outlet or standpipe is not obstructed.

DIY Fix Verify Water Level/Pressure Sensing

1. Check that the washing machine is leveling and sitting flat.
2. Ensure the pressure hose from the tub to pressure switch (if present) isn’t disconnected, kinked or clogged with debris.
3. After checking hoses and filters, restart the machine to see if the error persists.

Technician Only Professional Diagnostic and Repair

1. Use diagnostic tools to read stored error log on the specific Kelvinator model (if supported).
2. Inspect drain pump performance; test electrical operation of pump and replace if faulty.
3. Test water level/pressure switch and replace if defective.
4. Check internal wiring to pressure sensor and pump for damage or loose connections.
