DIY Fix Check for water leak and clear base tray

1. Unplug the washing machine and turn off the water supply.
2. Carefully tilt the washer forward (with assistance) to drain any water collected in the base tray.
3. Look for obvious signs of water leakage around hoses, the front door seal, and connections.
4. Tighten hose clamps or reseat hoses if loose.
5. Restore power and run a short cycle to see if error persists.

DIY Fix Inspect and clear drain components

1. Turn off and unplug the machine.
2. Locate the drain pump filter (usually behind a small panel at the front bottom) and open it.
3. Place a towel to catch water and remove any debris from the filter.
4. Check the drain hose for kinks or blockages; straighten or clear if necessary.
5. Reassemble and test a drain cycle.

Technician Only Assess internal leak detection system and components

1. Verify water sensors and wiring to the base tray leak detector for proper function.
2. Check internal hoses, seals, and joints for leaks.
3. Inspect the AquaStop (if present) and replace faulty sensor modules.
4. Pressure test the system and confirm there are no hidden leaks.
5. Replace or repair defective components as needed.
