DIY Fix Basic checks and reset attempt

1. Turn off the induction hob via the mains breaker or unplug if accessible (ensure safe power isolation).
2. Wait at least 5 minutes to allow internal electronics to fully reset.
3. Remove all cookware from the hob surface.
4. Ensure the hob surface and control panel are clean and dry.
5. Reconnect power and power on the hob to see if the ER12 code persists.

Technician Only Service inspection for undocumented control error

1. Check model identification and verify whether ER12 appears on the specific model’s display documentation.
2. Use service diagnostic tools to read internal event logs and error registers.
3. Inspect the control board and interface communications between modules for integrity.
4. Verify EEPROM data and control program validity, especially if historical fault listings reference memory mismatches.
