DIY Fix Check for general drainage issues

1. Turn off the dishwasher and disconnect power for safety.
2. Inspect and clean the bottom filter and any accessible debris traps.
3. Check the drain hose at the back of the dishwasher for kinks or obvious blockages.

Technician Only Diagnose drain pump and sensors

1. Verify error code presence on the specific LG model using service tools or diagnostic mode.
2. Inspect the drain pump for proper operation and continuity.
3. Check water level sensor/float switch for proper movement and correct signal to the control board.
4. Review control board logs or run diagnostics if available for model‑specific interpretation of E5.
