DIY Fix Basic checks for E2 on cooktop

1. Turn off the affected cooktop zone and allow the unit to cool completely before further inspection.
2. Ensure cookware placed on the zone is induction-compatible, correctly centered, and not empty (some induction models show E2 when a zone is activated without proper cookware).
3. Check that ventilation openings and cooling paths under/around the cooktop are not blocked by storage items or dust. Overheating due to blocked airflow is a common trigger across many induction cooktops.
4. Turn off power to the cooktop at the breaker for a short reset period and restart — this may clear transient faults.
5. If the error persists after cooling and reset, discontinue use and seek service.

Technician Only Inspect internal sensors and electronics

1. Safely disconnect power at the breaker.
2. Access the underside of the cooktop to inspect temperature sensor wiring and connections for the zone showing E2.
3. Check that internal sensors (e.g., temperature/NTC sensors) are firmly attached and not shorted or open, and that wires are intact and free of damage.
4. Verify proper seating of power/induction module connectors.
5. Use a multimeter to measure sensor resistance and compare with manufacturer specifications if available.
6. If sensors or induction modules are found defective, replace with OEM parts.
