DIY Fix Deactivate the lock/safety feature

1. Refer to your cooktop’s manual for the exact combination for your model
2. Typically touch and hold the lock symbol or specific sensor controls simultaneously until LC clears
3. Examples include touching + and – simultaneously, or holding the designated lock sensor for ~6 seconds as described in official documentation

Technician Only Verify lock functionality and control panel operation

1. If lock cannot be deactivated, inspect the control panel for stuck or shorted sensors
2. Check for moisture, spills or debris on and beneath touch controls
3. Test panel electronics for proper response and replace control board or key sensor if needed
