DIY Fix Clear water from base and reset safety switch

1. Turn off dishwasher power at breaker or unplug.
2. Turn off water supply to dishwasher.
3. Carefully pull dishwasher out and tilt back to allow water in base to drain.
4. Mop or soak up remaining water in base tray.
5. Restore power and run a short rinse cycle to test if error clears.

DIY Fix Check and correct detergent usage

1. Ensure dishwasher detergent is designed for dishwashers, not hand soap.
2. Use manufacturer‑recommended amount of detergent.
3. Run an empty hot water rinse to clear any excess suds.

Technician Only Inspect and repair internal leaks, hoses, seals

1. Disconnect power and water.
2. Remove lower access panel and inspect sump, hoses, door seal, and water connections for leaks.
3. Replace any cracked hoses, worn seals, or damaged sump components.
4. Test by filling with water and checking for drips into base.

Parts needed: door seal gasket, sump basin, inlet/drain hoses, clamps/fittings

Technician Only Check and service leak detection float/switch

1. Disconnect power.
2. Remove access panels to reach leak sensor and float mechanism in base.
3. Clean or free any obstruction on float so it moves freely.
4. Test switch continuity; replace if faulty.
5. Reassemble and test dishwasher operation.
