DIY Fix Basic checks before technician visit

1. Turn off the gas supply to the cooker and isolate electrical power.
2. Check that the gas supply is properly turned on and there are no obvious obstructions to gas flow.
3. Observe the ignition cycle with the oven door open (if safe to do so) to see if any spark is present at the burner.

Technician Only Ignition system inspection and repair

1. Verify presence of spark at burner electrode during ignition attempt and test ignition generator output.
2. Inspect and, if necessary, clean or replace the ignition electrode; ensure correct alignment and lack of carbon deposits.
3. Clean burner ports to remove blockages and ensure proper gas flow.
4. Check electrical wiring and earth/ground connection to ignition components; tighten or repair connections as needed.
5. Replace faulty ignition generator module or electrode components with Belling-approved parts.
