DIY Fix Check water supply and inlet filters

1. Turn off the washing machine and stop water supply.
2. Ensure the water tap feeding the washer is fully open and supplying adequate pressure.
3. Disconnect the inlet hose from the washing machine and inspect the mesh filters for limescale/debris; clean or rinse them if dirty.
4. Reconnect and test run a basic cycle to see if error recurs.

DIY Fix Inspect for motor overload conditions

1. Ensure the machine is not overloaded with laundry and redistribute load if needed.
2. Check that the drum spins freely by hand when the machine is off and unplugged.
3. Place the washing machine in a well-ventilated area to avoid heat build-up during operation.

Technician Only Test and verify inlet valve and associated wiring

1. Disconnect power and access the water inlet valve assembly.
2. Measure resistance across inlet valve coils; if open circuit or out of spec, replace the valve.
3. Inspect wiring harness to inlet valve for continuity and secure connections.
4. Replace clogged or damaged inlet hoses/filters as needed.

Technician Only Diagnose motor and control electronics

1. With power off, check motor control unit thermal protection and motor wiring integrity.
2. Measure motor windings and test tachometer (if present) for proper signals.
3. Check for motor overheating triggers or motor control faults; replace MCU/motor as indicated by tests.
4. Verify drum and drive system for mechanical blockages that may cause motor stress.
