DIY Fix Basic checks and service contact

1. Turn the oven off and disconnect it from the power supply (e.g., switch off at circuit breaker) for at least 60 seconds.
2. Reconnect the oven and attempt to power it on to see if the code clears.
3. Check that the oven door is fully closed and that there are no obvious display or button lock conditions (child lock).
4. If the error persists, note the exact display conditions and contact AEG authorized service with your model and serial numbers.

Technician Only Diagnostic evaluation by authorized service

1. Obtain the oven’s model and serial number for reference.
2. Access the oven’s internal diagnostic system (manufacturer service mode) if available.
3. Check internal communication lines between control board, display, and sensors for faults or loose connectors.
4. Use OEM diagnostic manuals or service tools to interpret any undocumented error registers indicated by E06.
5. Replace suspected faulty modules only if specific tests confirm failure.

Parts needed: Control/display module (if communication fault confirmed), Internal wiring harnesses (if damaged), Any specific sensor modules identified in diagnostics
